If you are looking to begin or are currently undergoing a tertiary education, you may be eligible to apply for financial assistance through the L.A. Alexander Agricultural College Trust. The L.A. Alexander Scholarships are available to students studying subjects relating to our primary industries, including agriculture, horticulture and veterinary programmes. In addition, the Trust also supports agriculture/horticulture courses in Taranaki secondary schools and support research.
L.A. Alexander Trust Bursaries
Financial assistance available to students born or educated in the Taranaki/Waverley region studying education in any of the fields of agriculture, horticulture and other courses related to the broader agricultural sector.
Postgraduate Scholarship
Available to students who have completed a degree and intend to pursue further postgraduate study. Priority will be given to students born, educated or working in the Taranaki/Waverley region.
Teaching Scholarship
Financial assistance to graduates who have demonstrated commitment, and wish to enter a career in secondary teaching in agriculture/horticulture. Preference will be given to those who intend to teach in the Taranaki sector.
Stan Florence Agricultural Industry Scholarship
Financial assistance to those already serving in a management position in agricultural, horticultural or pastoral industries in Taranaki, and wishing to attend a course of study.
