If you are looking to begin or are currently undergoing a tertiary education, you may be eligible to apply for financial assistance through the L.A. Alexander Agricultural College Trust. The L.A. Alexander Scholarships are available to students studying subjects relating to our primary industries, including agriculture, horticulture and veterinary programmes. In addition, the Trust also supports agriculture/horticulture courses in Taranaki secondary schools and support research.

Financial assistance available to students born or educated in the Taranaki/Waverley region studying education in any of the fields of agriculture, horticulture and other courses related to the broader agricultural sector.

Available to students who have completed a degree and intend to pursue further postgraduate study. Priority will be given to students born, educated or working in the Taranaki/Waverley region.

Research Applications

The Trust Board is interested in funding research relevant to agriculture and horticulture in its broadest sense to include production animals, plants, forestry, the environment and food.
